Description and purpose of grant:

With new state guidelines, we are in need of individual, stand alone tuners for members of the band.  This helps with aligning with TEKS assigned to music literacy.  Musical excellence is what Coppell Band is known for and recognized for nationally.  Help us continue our tradition of excellence.

Implementation process: Students will receive a high definition, accurate tuner that will attach to their instrument for immediate feedback.  Student will use the devices to learn about their own pitch center in reference to their instrument, but also be able to work towards adjusting pitch withing chordal moments.  This will enhance intonation excellence. 

Items you plan to purchase with grant money We plan to purchse 100 or more individual tuning devices along with storage devices to hold tuners while not in class. 

In the event my grant is not fully funded, this is minimum amount I would need to get started on this project:  $2000 for a smaller amount of tuners.
