The above video highlights some of our small musical groups from the York Band Program performing at a local nursing home and assisted living center. Performing in the community at local homeless shelters, hospitals and assisted living centers has become an integral component of our band program where students learn the real connective power of music to transform and create community.

 

Last year, the York High School Band Program performed well over 100 performances in the community and this year we're challenging ourselves to play at least 150 times. 

 

I'm committing to help my band program achieve the goal of collectively performing at least 150 performances in the communtiy and I'm asking that you show support for this endeavor by donating to the York Music Parents Association. Donations made on this page will go directly into a fund that will help to offset my travel costs of our band trip to perform at Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida in March of 2017.
