Description and purpose of grant: I am asking for several pieces of Physical Education equipment to create a challenging Ninja style obstacle course for Kindergarten through fifth grade. A Niinja obstacle course is more than just fun, it's a powerful tool for our learners.  Obstacle courses help build a foundation for overall health and lifelong success, fostering physical development (strength, coordination, and balance), mental resilience (learning from failure, building confidence), and essential life skills (problem-solving, discipline, teamwork, and communication). These active, engaging programs provide a holistic approach to childhood development in a fun and supportive environment.  Students enjoy the obstacle courses that I can create with our current equipment, and this grant would allow us to take it to the next level.  

Implementation process: I will use the provided equipment to create ninja-style obstacle courses with different themes throughout the year (the various holidays, fitness components,and the circulatory system). Typically, 25 -35 students will be in a PE class at a time and over the course of a week the entire school will use the course once or twice a week.  The course will be slightly modified as needed for the different grade levels.   Obstacle courses are one of the students' favorite activities in PE and I would plan on this new equipment lasting many years.

Gopher Sport; and the Sportime Foam Rainbow Trapezoid, 3 Sportime Warrior Fitness Angled Dash, and the Sportime KiDnastics low wedge from School Specialty.
