My Project:
Making subject material interesting is a top priority as teacher. I want to be able to provide my students with materials that help them understand the lessons while simultaneously engaging them with the things that interest them.
In order to do that, I am looking to purchase the "Who Was?" book series for my fourth grade classroom at Thomas Hooker Elementary School. I plan on using this biography series to supplement both social studies and language arts instruction (for example - Presidents, Black History & Women's history). Each book contains a detailed account of a famous figure's life or historical event with illustrations that keep students engaged and learning. I am looking to buy about 40 new books in total that run at about $5 each.
