Description and purpose of grant: The Digital Cinema Camera grant is designed to acquire a professional video camera body to give FUZE learners experience with industry-aligned gear and help make their portfolio competitive for contests and post-secondary opportunities. Part of New Tech, FUZE is a narrative film program that produces monthly shows and an annual film festival in May. Learners develop skills in screenwriting, cinematography, sound recording, and editing, creating real-world products with real-world audiences.

Implementation process: The Digital Cinema Camera will be used annually by FUZE2 and FUZE3 learners (at this time approximately 40) in narrative short film and FUZE Show production, which spans October through March.
