Who We Are

The Coltechs are Casteel High School’s award-winning FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team. Every year, our students design, build, program, and compete with a 120-pound industrial-size robot they create from scratch in just six intense weeks. Along the way they learn engineering, coding, teamwork, project management, and problem-solving skills that will serve them for life.

What We’re Raising Money For

This fundraiser will directly cover:

• Competition registration/entry fees for regional and championship events
• Team travel expenses (bus/van rental, fuel)
• Hotel accommodations for students and mentors
• Robot build materials

These costs are the biggest barrier between our team and the playing field. Without community support, many talented students would miss out on the life-changing experience of competing at the highest level of high school robotics.

Why It Matters

FIRST Robotics isn’t just about building robots — it’s about building futures. Our students earn college scholarships, land internships at top engineering firms, and discover career paths they never knew existed. Many of our alumni are now studying engineering, computer science, and technology at universities across the country — and they all say FRC was the spark.
